Bit of this and a bit of that (musically of course!)

OK, I'm kinda halfway through my spring cleaning (don't comment - essay avoidance tactics!) and I just had to come on and write two lines (literally, that's all ya getting).


Syleena Johnson has a new effort coming out on the 19th of this month. I tell ya, this lady is definitely working at her own pace and it's working for me! I absolutely love her voice. This is RnB stuff done really well.

No, snippets today - sure I could find some if I tried hard enough but I can't be bothered and I don't know how to set up a link to share an MP3 so best bet is to just go buy it when it comes out!






Aaahhh now this man on - you should all know. Well, if you don't that's Eric Roberson. I was more than a little bit happy when I discovered that he has ANOTHER cd coming (wooo hooo). Not sure when it's due out but it's called the Appetizer.

Same again, I've got cleaning to do so you are all gonna have to wait to hear it. Or better yet, just go out and buy it when it's released!

I've always liked Synlena Johnson. I don't think she is given her due respect in the musical industry though.

I've heard of Eric Roberson, but have never listened. I will be sure to check him out.

I caught a new Syleena on MTV the other day. Kinda generic. hope the album comes correct. Seen or maybe heard some Roberson stuff. need to cock dem ears for him.

@ Carla - I agree. She's on Chapter 3 now and reall not a household name.

@Obi - Yep! It's RnB alright but the difference is that she can actually sing (and we know how rare that is on the radio!). The only thing I'm not keen on is the R Kelly connection, I'm not fan of his style over the recent years so that's the only drawback for me. But if you don't want anything too complex.....

Yeah, I've got Syleena pre-ordered, so I'm ready for her. I'm going to try to see what the release date is for The Appetizer. I should be able to find that out fairly soon.
